Stalked By the Mob (Miami Mafia 1) - Page 40

Epilogue

"You're insane," said Alek as he stared at the class schedule I selected.

"Only two of them are in person and the rest are all remote. That's completely reasonable."

"I don't care if they're remotely downloaded into your brain, that's too many credits for anyone."

When he was worried about me, he turned the cutest shade of red. I wanted to tell him that, but I don't think he'd find it as cute as I did.

"I was taking eight credits while working three jobs. There's no reason I can't take this course load while you're taking care of everything else for me."

He reached over and stole the laptop straight out of my hands, gently, because he was still convinced I was in pain, even though I’d been cleared by three different doctors to stop taking painkillers. He clicked a few buttons and then handed it back. He'd removed two of the classes I'd selected, including one of the in-person labs, so that all my coursework was now just two days of the week.

"Really? You need that much of my time?" Even as I asked the question, I realized how silly it was. A moment later, he was pushing me back on our bed, the laptop shoved out of the way as he took his place between my thighs, grinding his erection against my core.

"Keep arguing and you'll be down to one day a week, Angel." He kissed me hard enough to let me know he was a hundred percent serious, and I kissed him back just as hard.

When I finally pulled back to breathe, I was laughing. "And I'm the insane one."

"We're a good match," he said, reaching over to hit the "enter” button, effectively submitting the order for my first ever full-time college course load.

"Don't worry. I'll go straight from the campus to home," I assured my stalker and now fiancé. By the time I start classes, we'd probably be married. Alek wasn't known for his patience, and I encouraged his possessive side far too much.

"You spend as much time on campus as you want."

That was unexpected. "Really?"

"You think I'm not going to each and every class with you?"

My mind was flooded with images of Alek sitting in the back of a lecture hall, giving my professors a death glare. A literal death glare, in his case, because he would shoot a professor if he felt they treated me in the slightest bit rudely.

"No. Absolutely not, Alek. I'm putting my foot down."

From where he was perched over me, he smiled wickedly. "You have a few months to convince me not to, Angel. Better get started now."

Game. On.
