“Can I get one for my room too?” he asks, eyeing the small trees that are only like two feet tall.

“Let’s focus on getting the one for the living room first.”

“Fine.” He runs through the trees, stopping at each one and explaining why it’s the best tree. When we finally decide on one—and Camden sneaks in the mini tree—the lot guys load it up so we can take it home. Since it needs a few days to drop before we can decorate it, we order in and put a movie on to watch after Camden sets it up.

Felix is out halfway through the movie, and Camden and I spend the remainder of the movie cuddling and flirting. I want to invite him to spend the night, but I also know we need to take things slow when it comes to that, for Felix’s sake.

“We’re going to be working on a couple of songs tomorrow in the studio,” Camden says when I walk him out. “Can you come by?”

“Of course.” I give him a chaste kiss. “Text me when you get home.”

About twenty minutes later, my phone dings. When I open it, I expect to find a text from Camden, but instead, it’s from unknown. There’s a picture of Camden, Felix, and me bringing in the Christmas tree. Only the picture has been marked up with a huge red X over Camden.

Only one person would send something like this, so instead of responding, I save the picture and block the text. I’ll show it to Camden tomorrow to see if we should report it so it’s documented. At the courthouse, David was glaring daggers at me but was smart enough to keep his mouth shut. I knew he wouldn’t stay quiet for long.

I’m about to click out of my messages when it dings again… another picture. Only this one has me smiling as I take in a bare-chested, smirking Camden. One day, instead of sending you pics of me in bed, you’ll be next to me. Sweet dreams, Shutterbug.

And with the image of him in my head, I fall asleep, pushing the thought of David from my mind—even if deep down my gut tells me this isn’t close to being over.

She’s like taking a hit of the strongest drug

She enters my veins, there to stay

I’m addicted, can’t stay away

I stand in the corner of the studio, my camera in my hand, frozen in place, as I listen to Camden belt the words to a new song in the sound room. He told me he wrote a new song, but he didn’t mention it was about me. And as I watch, with Camden’s eyes locked on mine, heat radiating off his every word, the apex of my legs throbs in want, in need. If we were alone, I would be on him, begging him to be in me.

Earl—their producer who has flown to New York to work with them on recording their next album—presses a button and says, “Fuck yeah, that’s what I’m talking about,” but Camden isn’t looking at him or really paying him any attention because he’s zoned in on me, eye-fucking me. Liquid desire pools between my legs, and my blood boils like I’m on fire. My heart thrums in my chest.

“You wrote that about me,” I breathe when he stalks over and pulls me into his arms.

“Damn near everything I do is about you,” Camden murmurs, capturing my lower lip between his teeth. “Do you like it… the song?” He swipes his tongue along the seam of my mouth, sending a bolt of electricity straight to my core.

“I love it.” I run my fingers through his hair and brush my lips against his. “And… I love you.”

His eyes go wide at my confession. I didn’t plan to say those words, but I one-hundred-percent mean them.

“Need ten,” Camden chokes out, lifting me into his arms. My legs wrap around his torso, and his strong, supple lips collide with my own. I faintly hear one of the guys laughing, and I think Braxton makes a joke about being a minute-man, but I’m too caught up in Camden to really know.

The second we’re alone, our clothes come flying off, both of us with one goal in mind: Camden inside me. Once we’re both naked, he pushes me against the wall and devours my mouth. His hands go to my breasts, caressing them. Mine go to his dick, stroking it.

But that’s not enough. I need more.

Without thought, I drop to my knees, ready to take him in my mouth, but before I can, he steps back.

“What’s wrong?” I ask, glancing up at him.

“We should wait… until we’re at your place… or mine.”

“What?” I reach for him, but he shakes his head and pulls me up.

“We only have a few more hours. Afterward, we can go to your place before you have to pick up Felix.”
