Tempted as I was to ignore his ultimatum and climb Asa like a tree, I couldn’t risk Colby flying in on us.
After Clay left, I checked with Asa. “Care to play lookout while I work my magic?”
That accomplished two goals.
It secured the book for the trip.
And, most importantly, it took Asa out of range of my grabby hands.

Even the word pleasure from his lips made dirty thoughts pole dance in my head.
