get me straightened out. Something to keep me from
constantly thinking about Steph. Which isn’t easy, given that I
have to review profiles and message guys with her in mind.
Not easy at all.
I don’t need to stop thinking about her, I just need to
stop thinking about her that way.
Steph said the science fiction section was good. I’ve
honestly never checked it out here. I like it, but I feel like it’s
an acquired taste, and lately I’ve been reading more historical
fiction and non-fiction. Sometimes I’ll treat myself and throw
in a fantasy series. I’m usually all about the classics. You can
never go wrong with a classic.
Today, I’m not at all surprised that I pick out three sci-
fi books.
Chapter 6
Stephanie
Five is my favorite number. I’m not sure why. I guess I’ve
always kind of felt that it was lucky. I was born on September
fifth. Maybe it was natural and easy for me to pick my
birthdate as my number. Whatever the reason, I’ve just always
liked it. It’s well rounded without being even. It’s solid. Sure.
Steady.
Everyone says it’s three times that’s the charm, but for
me, I think it’s more like the fifth.
I’m just about to sit down to a fancy dinner in a fancy
restaurant with date number five.
He hasn’t arrived yet. I’ve already been given two
menus, drank a glass of water because I’m nervous and I
thought it would help, ordered a glass of wine to take the edge
