COSMO
“Daddy, canIgo in there?” I leaned into Hunter, hugging his side, and pointed across the street to the general store. It didn’t look as attractive as the ones back in the city, but the store had to be better than standing in the garage, waiting for the mechanic to service Hunter’s car.
For the first time since we came here, Hunter and I had ventured from the cabin to pick up groceries and have his car checked. He’d given me the option to stay at the cabin while he went alone, but I’d come with him. I didn’t want to be without him for too long. But I might have reconsidered if I had known it would be so boring.
“Sure, but don’t go wandering off,” Hunter said. “We’ll be finished here in a few minutes. Do you need anything?”
“I don’t know.”
He dug into his wallet and handed me his credit card with a stern look. “Remember what I taught you about spending money.”
I giggled. “Don’t worry. I’m not sure there will be anything worth buying here.”
This was just a place with the most basic amenities. A diner where Hunter said we could have lunch before going back, a gas station slash garage, and a general store.
I set off, but Hunter tugged me back and kissed me hard, melting my insides. While he kissed and caressed me behind closed doors, he wasn’t one for public displays of affection. I’d thought that was just the way he was, especially after he’d explained to me about homophobia and how careful I needed to be. Maybe it wasn’t about him not being affectionate, though, but the fact that back in Cross Keys, people knew about us, and his job was in jeopardy.
He released me. The mechanic was watching us, his mouth open. I squeezed Hunter’s hand and crossed the street. A quick look over my shoulder confirmed he was still watching me. I liked his eyes on me. Last night, I’d agreed to being a doll in his display box if he wanted, and the thought of being on display for Hunter turned me on.
He blamed his love for me, which made him do things he never thought he would. I blamed my love for him for the same reason. We were both deviants, which was probably why I felt good about some things he did to me. Like the way he wouldn’t take no for an answer sometimes when we fucked, but I always knew that if I used my safeword or signal, he would stop.
I pushed the door of the store open. The place was empty except for the man at the cash register. I smiled at him, but he looked at me with disdain. When I got dressed this morning, I’d expected Hunter to ask me to change, but he’d seemed pleased with the way I looked in the ripped denim shorts overall over the tight hot pink tube top that exposed my sides.
I browsed the aisles, picking up candy, then putting some back. Hunter would never let me eat so much candy. He restricted my food intake, which I should have hated, considering Mother had done the same, but he wasn’t as strict as Mother. He didn’t care how much I weighed. He only did it to prevent me from getting sick again.
At the personal hygiene aisle, I stopped at a shelf of pull-ups, a deep longing forming inside me. They were too small to fit me, and the ones for incontinence were too big. They’d fall off my hips.
“Hey, why are you looking at diapers?” Hunter walked up to me.
“I enjoy wearing them,” I said. “But these aren’t the ones I like.”
“Hmm, maybe we can find them online.”
“You wouldn’t mind if I wear them?”
“Nope.”
“Okay, we can order some online.”
He poked around my arms. “Candy?”
“I already put back some!”
“You still have too many. You know you get fidgety and horny when you’ve had too much sugar.”
“I won’t eat them all at once. You can keep them, and that way you can monitor how much I eat.”
He rested a hand on my hip and pulled me against his chest. I loved when he did that so casually.
“Fine. Pay for your candy, and let’s have lunch at the diner.”
“Aren’t you buying groceries?”
“When we’re leaving, we don’t have to worry about stuff melting.”
Since I got little, I used the money I’d earned from allowance and paid for the candy. Hunter placed a hand on the small of my back as we walked out together.
“Did you finish with the SUV?”
