COSMO

Sincewe’dhadsex, Hunter was most attentive and even sweeter than usual, as if trying to make up for being so rough with me. No amount of reassurance from me that he had done no permanent damage would ease his mind. He treated me like fragile glass that would shatter if he spoke too hard or if his touch was less than gentle.

At first, I got off on his thoughtfulness. He would cut my food up for me without me having to ask and feed me. Whenever we watched a movie together—and Virgil had been right, at least about this one thing, since I was hooked—he pulled me into his lap and held me like I was the most precious thing in the world. But every time we sat on the couch, my eyes were drawn to that picture of his wife on the mantel, and the green-eyed monster became bigger and bigger. I’d tried once to hide the photo, but I lost my nerve at the last minute. Everything was still too new between us, and I didn’t want him to know how vindictive and toxic my little could be.

“By the time I realized what you were and what you were doing, you’d already gotten under my skin. The only way I could get you out was to kill you.”

Virgil’s words often swirled around in my head if I were alone too long with my thoughts. But Hunter was different from Virgil. I might have turned a monster to be on my side, but how much more fun would it be to turn a good-hearted man like Hunter into someone who could love me?

Five days had passed since Hunter brutally owned my virginity. That was exactly what he’d done, and even though I’d lain under him shattered and in tears, I’d never felt so seen, so invaded and owned. I’d always secretly dreamed of the day I’d give myself to someone. I’d always thought it would be Virgil and that it would be sweet and tender. With Hunter, I’d expected the same. He was such a kind man, but he’d taken me in a way I hadn’t known at the time I needed.

And now I needed more, but he wouldn’t give it to me. He’d given me a taste of something that all my life I’d been told was forbidden, and now he was keeping it from me, and it left me on edge.

I tried subtle ways of letting him know I was interested in sex with him again. As often as I got the chance, I touched him. I would turn my face up for him to kiss me, but he always kept the kisses short. No tongue and little steam. The one time I’d climbed in his lap and moved suggestively against him, just for a few seconds, he’d clutched my waist and held me down over his bulging cock. Right when I thought he was giving in, he’d gotten up with me in his arms and dumped me on the sofa, muttering about something he had to do in the garage.

He’d spent a long time in there, and when I’d peeked around the door, I’d caught him sitting in his wife’s car, talking to himself. I’d been so hurt by his apparent need to seek comfort or whatever the hell he was doing in his wife’s car that I’d given him the silent treatment. I’d even gone to my room to sleep, which I hadn’t done since the night we had sex. A few hours later, when he scooped me out of my bed and brought me to his, I’d felt better. I’d slept in his arms with a smile on my face, forgiving him for not knowing yet what he wanted.

Sitting up in bed with the sheet around me, I waited and bided my time. This would be it… the night we had sex again. We’d had a good day. He’d taken me to the market, where we’d bought lots of fresh fruit, and then we’d made a smoothie together when we got home. I’d even helped him prepare dinner and wash up afterward. I’d been a very good boy. He would find it in his heart to reward me, wouldn’t he?

“I thought you’d be all tuckered out already and sleeping,” he said as he came into the bedroom. He had his robe on, and I ogled him over the book I was reading.

“I was waiting up for you, Daddy.”

“You didn’t need to do that.”

“I just wanted to.”

He shrugged out of his robe, presenting me with his naked body on full display as he rummaged through his drawer. Hunter’s back was broad and hairless, and just looking at it made me hot. Oh god, I’d like to sink my nails into his back while he pounded me like last time. Face-to-face this time so I could see his expression and how good it was for him.

“Did you need anything before bed?” he asked.

“You.”

He pulled on a dark pair of boxers and adjusted his cock and balls. He never slept in anything else, which teased me to no end. I was so close to him, and he pretended he didn’t want me back. What if once with me had been enough? What if he didn’t like me lying there still under him after all? I should have moved, shown a little more enthusiasm. If he gave me another chance, I would do that.

A smile on his face, Hunter switched off the ceiling light and turned on the bedside lamp, then crawled in beside me.

“How’s your book?”

“Great.” It was just Hamlet, and I must have read it a dozen times. Virgil had only allowed me to read classic literature, and I’d found a copy in Hunter’s office.

“Do you want to read some more?”

“No.” I placed the book on the bedside table. He shifted, and I tumbled right into his arms, our bodies fitting the way we had all these nights.

“Aren’t you going to kiss me good night, Daddy?”

I turned onto my side so I faced him instead of being his little spoon.

Without a word, Hunter pressed his lips to mine, but before he could retreat, I latched my arms behind his head and kept him to me, arching up to him and slipping my tongue into his mouth. He stiffened for a few seconds. Then he was kissing me back, tongue demanding entry, which I gladly gave. He rolled me over onto my back, his bulky weight pressed on top of mine as he ravished my mouth and stole my breath.

“Daddy,” I moaned. “Oh, Daddy, please. I want you like last time.”

Hunter went still above me, his heart beating fast. He closed his eyes tightly, buried his face in my neck, and kissed me there.

“Not yet.”

He spooned me instead of giving me what I’d asked for.“But it’s been five days!”
