“Great.” I beam, happy to hear about his success. “I guess that’s why you’re a good economist.”
“It’s actually Emmett and Grant who did the vetting. Anyway, I’m worth a little over a billion dollars at the moment.”
I stare at him for a second, while my mind tries to process that. “A billion dollars?”
“Yes.”
“With a B? Billion? I didn’t mishear million?”
“Billion with a B.”
“That’s awesome.” I smile hugely, then realize something. “Do you want me to sign a prenup, promising not to touch your money?”
He scowls. “No. I didn’t bring it up to ask you to sign a prenup. I don’t care. Money isn’t that important. And what other people think about me isn’t important. What’s important is you. And our babies.”
I loop my arms around his neck and seal the promise of forever with a searing kiss.
