“And now I’m giving it back to you.” He slid it onto my pinky. “Because I don’t need it anymore. Because I have you and that kind of makes me the happiest guy on Earth.”
My heart squeezed and I leaned in and kissed him. “So you’re like the human version of Disneyland?”
He grinned against my lips. “Baby, Disneyland ain’t got nothing on me.”
His kiss was searing and delicious, and inside my heart pounded with love for him.
“I love you,” he said.
“I love you, too.”
And I did. He was my perfect forever after.
And I couldn’t ask for anything more than that.
