“Hey sweetheart,” Reese greets me casually. “Find your way here, okay?”
I nod shyly.
“Yes, thanks.”
The two men grin at me.
“Take a seat, Amelia. Make yourself comfortable.”
Taking a second to sit on the comfortable chaise lounge across from the desk, I fold my hands in my lap as I say, “So…”
Almost in sync, Ryan and Reese repeat my word back to me. Fidgeting with my fingers, I look down and decide to jump straight into the deep end.
“Um, so do you guys have any regrets about last night?”
Looking up, I see them glance at each other with surprise before shaking their heads no. Reese looks dumbfounded.
“Absolutely not, Amelia. Making love to you last night was amazing. We both enjoyed worshipping your beautiful curves and watching how your body responded to the pleasure we were able to give you. I don’t know the last time I enjoyed something as much as I enjoyed watching you come apart for us. It was definitely something we would like to do again, and in fact, I haven’t been able to stop talking about it since last night.”
My face flushes with pleasure, and my heart slows a bit. I hadn’t realized just how on edge I’d been. Tilting my head, I ask, “But what about you two? Are you guys in a relationship? Have you always been bisexual? I must admit I was surprised when you kissed each other and then did … um, that.”
Watching me carefully, Ryan asks, “Was that a bad surprise?”
Rushing to reassure him, I answer.
“No, not at all. Just a surprise is all.”
Satisfied with my answer, Ryan begins answering my questions.
“We’ve been bisexual and in a relationship since college actually. It’s been a long time.”
I nod slowly.
“Does my dad know?”
Chuckling, Reese answered this time.
“No, because we never planned on telling anyone.” Seeing my shocked face, Reese hurries to explain. “You have to understand that when we met in college it was a time when LGBTQ rights were not as well developed as they are now. Particularly for two men on an athletic, male-dominated water polo team. We didn’t think our bisexuality would go over well with our teammates. So, for our safety and to protect our relationship, we decided to keep our attraction for one another a secret. This was made easier by the fact that we both dated women at the time.”
Taking over the story, Ryan adds, “We both thought this was just a college thing, but after graduation it became apparent to both of us that we wanted to continue seeing each other. So, we founded Burger Heaven and began dating secretly behind the scenes. Occasionally, we would find a woman and bring her in for a threesome, but no one’s really lasted very long. How many women would really be willing to date two men, let alone two men who are also in a relationship with each other?”
Nodding with wide eyes, I mull over their words.
“Well, I’m not sure. I think a lot of women would love to date you.”
They look at me wryly.
“Yeah, but do you think they would be open to the fact that we’re into each other too? That’s why we need a woman like you, Amelia. You’re open-minded and sweet. You’re okay with how people really are, and not how they feel forced to present themselves.”
I thought about that statement for a while.
“Yes, I’ve always been on the side of the underdog, but I wouldn’t say you guys are underdogs. You’re two wildly successful businessmen. Surely, there must be women lining up to date you.”
They shrug.
“Yes, but not the right ones. There are women who want us for our money; women who want us because of our business connections. But you, sweetheart, are a different matter. You’re interested for the right reasons.”
I throw them a grin.
“Oh really? But I’m here for an interview. That seems like making use of our family friendship.”
They throw their heads back and laugh, and again, I’m astonished by how handsome Reese and Ryan are. White teeth flash, and the two men are absolutely magnetic and charming. How I’m able to remember my name, I don’t even know.
Then again, I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen either of them with a girlfriend. Thinking about it, I’m pretty sure it’s been almost a decade. That’s a long time. Suddenly, a thought occurs to me and I ask, “Do you guys not want a relationship with a woman?”
Shaking his head, Ryan replies.
“Of course, we do. We’ve been looking for someone to add to our relationship for a while now, but like I said, it’s hard to find someone suitable. Her personality has to be right, and she needs to be intelligent and sassy at once. She can’t be afraid to call us out on our shit, but in a nice way, and not a mean way.”
