"No you didn't." I stare back into his eyes. "You remember it perfectly. You were probably thinking of it the whole twelve-hour flight here."
He brushes a stray hair from in front of my eyes. "Probably."
"You're evil."
"I know." He leans down to press his lips to mine.
Mmmm. I need to keep touching him. I need to get him naked. I need him. Period. "No more talking. Sex now."
He laughs. "Don't I deserve to be seduced?"
"Sex now, please, sir," I tease.
He smiles. "This first."
It's not like I'm about to have sex in this beautiful house's driveway. Whatever this is, it should come first.
I nod an okay.
And I take Mal's hand.
And he leads me up the path.
He slides a key into the door.
Pushes it open. "After you."
I step inside.
Fuck. It's beautiful. All hardwood floors. White walls. The foyer opens into an expansive living room. To the left, there are stairs, then the dining room/kitchen combo.
Sliding glass doors lead to a beautiful backyard. With a pool.
A pool.
"Mal…" I step forward. Somehow, I manage to walk. This place is beautiful. And it's huge. As huge as his place.
Or… this must be…
"Explain," I demand.
He wraps his arms around me. "You sure? That look in your eyes is addicting."
"Which one?"
"The wonder. Like you can't believe your luck."
"I can't." This place is beautiful, like a dream, and there's a whole upstairs too. I turn back to Mal. "Is this ours?"
"Yeah." He runs his fingertips over my cheek. "According to the bank, it's mine. But as far as I'm concerned, it's ours. And one day…"
"When we get married—"
He laughs. "Yeah, then, according to the bank and the state, it will be ours."
"You're laughing because I have no game?"
"You know I love it." His smile widens. "I love you so much, baby."
